For the Joe table lamp, the ceramist Anita Le Grelle was inspired by the organic mushroom shapes of the 1960s. The nostalgically naive form lends itself perfectly to the child’s bedroom but does not limit itself to there. Both in the base and in the lamp hood, there is a light that illuminates the whole from the inside thanks to the translucent bone china. Joe comes in two versions and is fitted with a gold fabric cord with a switch.

Iittala's Putki table lamp was designed by Klenell in 2018 for the National Museum of Sweden in Stockholm. The building, designed in 1866, is majestic in itself and for this reason it was a challenge to create lamps large enough not to disappear into space. In designing the lamps, Klenell thought about the unofficial world glass blowing championship held annually at the Iittala glass factory, where one of the tasks is to blow as large a cylinder as possible.
In collaboration with Iittala's glass masters, Klenell created a series of tall glass lamps and named them Putki, the Finnish word for tube, due to their tubular shape. For the Iittala collection, the lamp has been reduced to scale but is also mouth blown at the Iittala glass factory.
At the National Museum the lamps are placed in groups on the windowsills of the museum restaurant, where their wavy surface filters both the light emitted by the bulb and the natural light that comes from the window. "I have always been fascinated by light and the design of lamps, by the connection between the immaterial and the material. I try to treat light almost like a material, as I find it the most beautiful intangible phenomenon in the world, ”says Klenell.

Table Lamp Iittala Virva Grey

The Virva table lamp by Iittala has a mouth-blown lampshade with a delightfully grooved surface that creates a beautiful reflection when the light is on. The designer Matti Klenell was inspired by Iittala's extensive production of glass products; in particular he was fascinated by the different surfaces of the old glass designs. To create the right surface, the Virva lamp was blown into a mold, in which every single line was sculpted by hand. The horizontal lines on one side and V-shaped on the other make the surface grooved and give the lamp a sculptural appearance even when the light is off.
Virva is also inspired by Nordic folklore: the name refers to the Finnish word "virvatuli" which means will-o'-the-wisp: In Nordic folklore, will-o'-the-wisps are ghost lights that float above swamps or other uninhabited areas and are misleading travelers appearing in the form of a spirit holding a lantern. Wisps are also seen as a symbol of hope, as they are said to indicate the place where fairies have hidden a secret treasure.

A study in reductionism, Lim is not so much a lamp as it is a conduit of light. Its minimalist form shapes a plane of illumination powered by an equally minimalist light source - a continuous array of high-output, energy-efficient LEDs discreetly concealed in its armature. Along with a slim, rotatable arm that enables the user to redirect the light, Lim employs a magnetic attachment system that makes it effortlessly portable and adjustable. Lim is available in up to five different form factors enabling tabletop, floor, and undersurface mounting applications.
Lim table lamp features an advanced LED array with hi-low dim control. The light source lasts for 50K hours or 25 years of daily use. It is 97% recyclable.
